This week we played with advanced materials. The gargoyle glows based on proximity to the player and the fountain glows with user input, specifically 'G'.

Metal Coral Solid: The Phantom Fish


After comments that the starfish looked a little like Big Boss from Metal gear I decided to go all the way. The painting this week took it's palette from Venom Snake's mechanical arm in MGS V.

I've always been a fan of painting eyes, so it was a new experience for me in ZBrush.

Simple Organic Model



The model in Maya ended up rendering darker than I anticipated. The results in UE4 are closer to what I had painted, but lost a lot of the depth provided by the normal map.
